(Deut 11:26-29) "Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: 27 the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you today; 28 and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known. NKJV
ReplyDeleteGod is not the author of confusion and chaos but instead the author of order and peace. His perfect order is witnessed in the natural creation as He estabished laws of nature which allow the many forces of nature to operate in harmony with one another to ensure allow the constant order of the universe which blesses us with beauty, design, provision, and peace. Only when the laws of nature are broken does one experience trouble. In the same manner God has established spiritual laws to ensure peace and blessing. God has established his instructions and rules in the spiritual and relational realm to ensure peace and order in one's personal life as well as society. The proverb "Blessing follows obedience" may appear childishly simple, but it is profound in determining the quality of our lives based upon the choices we make of obeying the Creator's rules or making our own. Blessings (peace and order) and cursings (confusion and chaos) are set before each of us. The choice is ours.
