- Through grace I am a child of God and have the glorious privilege of serving His church. I am am blessed to be married to my high-school sweetheart, Wanda Sue, with whom I have three precious daughters.
Out of the various prayers throughout the scriptures that I can recall, the High Priestly Prayer is I believe the most beautiful.
ReplyDeleteJesus had such a way with words, He utters such beautiful sentences throughout the prayer, so simple yet so very deep. So very encouraging to the soul, to know of our unity with God, that we can share in the love that the Father has for the Son, and the Son for the Father. That we are adopted into this heavenly family, that He is now our Father because of what our Elder Brother has done for us. For we were formally darkness, but now we are Light in the Lord, children of Light, of the Father of Lights.
"that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me."
"I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me."
