  1. Joh 7:7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify about it that its works are evil.

The world hates our Savior. They despise Him because of His righteousness, of His purity. They who are wicked and full of sin hate that which is pure. They are darkness, He is light. They walk in darkness and His holy and perfect righteousness pierces their wicked hearts, and instead of repentance they wish to destroy Him.

The desire of the Jews was to stone Him, to bring death to Him. Just as it was then so it is now. Those who dwell in darkness seek to murder the One who testifies to their wickedness.

The world; Gentiles, Jews, old and young, male and female, there is no distinction. All despise Him and seek to rule over Him. The hatred of the Jews against Jesus is a picture of man and his striving against his Creator.

Sin is a wretched thing, a disgusting thing, it causes us to hate the one who is life. It makes us enemies to the One who has control over our souls. It deceives us, and once tasted it creates a desire that is never quenched.

God came in the flesh, and we hated Him. He came down to us, He who is the light of world came into this dark and cursed world and we despised Him, rejected Him.

Col 1:12-13 "giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. "

Col 1:21-22 "And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him,..."
