ReplyDeleteJoshua reminds the people that when all is said and done, "Life's all about choice." The quality and extent of our lives is simply a summation of the daily choices we make. Earlier God had spoken through His prophet Moses, “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess” (Deut 30:15-17). The choices were offered and were very distinct, “life and good” or “death and evil” and the decision is ours. Joshua was not indecisive or wavering in his choice: he chose life, he chose the Lord.
